ASTERIX FULL ALBUM TRANSLATIONS
40 Asterix albums have already been published since 1961 and the next nr. 41 will come out in October 2025. The full albums have been translated into 91 languages and dialects plus into 31 German Mundarts (regional dialects). According to this there are 28 so called homemade unofficial full album translations either in printed books or in pdf-format. The numbers of these translations are very limited. The best collections of all the full albums can be found from www.asterix-obelix.nl. Ismo Porna’s collection can be found from the two pdf-files above.
Ismo Porna has also collected translations from all the official Asterix publishers in the world. There are 180 official Asterix publishers and Ismo is missing only one: the Cosmos Editions 1991 from South Korea. The list of these publishers can be found from the PDF-file 1 above.
Ismo Porna has also collected all the 64 translations of his favorite album Asterix at the Olympic games plus 63 other versions. They can be found from the pdf-file 1 above.
SHORT EDPISODE TRANSLATIONS
Dr. Aleksandar M. Mikic (1975-2021) produced 94 different unofficial short episode translations from the album 32 “Asterix and the class act”, which consists of 14 short episodes. They were all in pdf format, but cannot be found any more, only from some very advanced Asterix collectors. The list of these translations can be found from the pdf-file 1 above.
Ismo Porna and Aleksandar M. Mikic produced together 74 Finno-Ugrian translations from the short episode “Springtime in Gaul” in the album 32. They can all be read and printed freely from the above title FINNO-UGRIC TRANSLATIONS.
In Ismo Porna’s collections there are altogether official and unofficial Asterix translations in 309 different languages and dialects.
